VIRTUAL REALITY(VR) IS IT REAL?

Virtual reality (virtual reality, VR) is a reality artificially recreated with the help of technical means that affect the human senses (sight, hearing, smell, touch, etc.).

Virtual reality objects usually behave close to the behavior of similar objects of material reality.  The user can influence these objects in accordance with the real laws of physics (gravity, water properties, collision with objects, reflection, etc.).

Virtual reality involves the creation of a completely new world, in contrast to augmented reality, which adds only certain elements to the existing reality.

 Virtual reality properties1

► Generation.  Virtual reality is produced by another reality external to it.

► Relevance.  There is actual, at the moment of observation, here and now.

► Autonomy.  It has its own laws of being, time and space.

The use of virtual reality in education

The introduction of virtual reality tools into educational programs must be justified by the added value that cannot be obtained through more traditional teaching methods, since the costs of hardware and software are high.

Benefits of Virtual Reality Technologies for Educational Purposes

Involvement
Due to the presence effect, VR transforms the educational process, making it much more interesting.

interactivity
Training simulators with interactive scenarios in 3D allow you to understand how an employee behaves or will behave in work situations, and work out various business cases in a safe environment for the employee.

Immersion
The user finds himself in a three-dimensional space and interacts with believable objects, which provides a better assimilation of the material.

Focusing
VR provides greater isolation from external stimuli, as well as the ability for teacher to ontrol the student's focus.
